Cormar Carpet Co - Best Of British

Cormar have been voted "Best Carpet Manufacturer 2018" by retailers and readers of leading trade Magazine, Interiors Monthly. David Cormack, Marketing Director, explains what this means for Cormar...

Winning Best Carpet Manufacturer adds another element of success to a notable year for the Cormar Carpet Company which recently unveiled a brand new look – the first corporate update in over a quarter of a century. “To be voted Best Carpet Manufacturer, for the sixth consecutive year, by the readers of Interiors Monthly is an incredible achievement,” said David Cormack, marketing director of Cormar, one of the UK’s leading carpet manufacturers.

“This year we’ve made huge investments in the business that take us forward as a dynamic and leading edge player in the market so it’s great for the Cormar team to be recognised once again for the hard work and determination that they have put in.” At the start of the year, Cormar opened the doors to a new 130,000 sq ft distribution centre, based in Hemel Hempstead, which consolidated and strengthened its national distribution network across the South of England. The multi-million pound infrastructure houses two cut length machines and a sortation system which allows Cormar to stock up to 2,500 rolls of carpet.

Last month, the company launched its new look as the ‘Cormar Carpet Company’ reflecting its ongoing specialism in carpets. Developed with the consumer at the forefront of the redesign and following extensive research, the intention is to bring a more ‘home furnishing’ style to the brand and drive traffic through to retailers.

“While we may have a fresh image, we are still maintaining the company’s core values: family owned and British made and the brand will continue to be supported with high-performing products, excellent customer service and an efficient delivery service,” said David.
